WHAT IS PHOTOBIOMODULATION?
Photobiomodulation is a process in which light is absorbed at the cellular level. PBMT is a form of light therapy that utilizes non ionizing forms of light such as lasers, LEDS, and broadband light in the visible and infrared spectrum.
The body's natural processes that are triggered or energized by PBMT are responsible for the alleviation of pain, inflammation, vascular and metabolic activity, wound healing and tissue regeneration.
There are thousands of studies that have been published showing the many benefits of using cold laser therapy to treat various injuries and conditions. Below are a few case studies that have been published specifically on our class 4 cold laser system treating different conditions such as Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia.
This Class IV laser device is being used by several medical institutions, physicians and healthcare professionals across the country. There are several case studies and protocols that are currently being developed on unique treatment applications using this innovative high-intensity laser device.

CHRONIC OPIOID USE AFTER SURGERY
This Case Series describes a pilot study designed to evaluate a novel non-pharmacologic approach to treating long-standing opioid dependency.
Journal of Rheumatology
TREATMENT OF DRUG-RESISTANT FIBROMYALGIA SYMPTOMS
This case illustrates the potential beneficial effects of using higher power levels of HILT for patients with fibromyalgia syndrome who have failed to respond to conventional interdisciplinary treatment regimens.

OSTEOARTHRITIS IN FORMER PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES
We evaluated the use of a new higher intensity cold laser for treating chronic pain related to osteoarthritis (OA) in former NFL football players.
Journal of Burn Care & Research
TREATMENT OF HYPERTROPHIC BURN AND WOUND SCARS
In this case series, non-invasive high-intensity laser therapy provided timely decrease in hypertrophic scar characteristics in an outpatient setting
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Cold laser therapy works by increasing the production of cellular energy in damaged cells and tissue. Laser therapy provides photon energy particles that are absorbed to help stimulate a cellular response. This increase in photon energy helps promote the quality of healing and speeds the recovery process.
Photon energy is absorbed within the mitochodria of damaged cells, which is also know as the powerhouse of the cell. The mitochondria provides the damaged or injured cells with energy they need to start repairing and operating at their optimum performance. There are various reactions happening within the cell level helping the body regenerate and recover.

LASER THERAPY TREATMENT SESSIONS
We offer an accessible, convenient, and yet affordable laser therapy treatment for all of our clients. We schedule laser sessions based on the amount of time and areas needed to be treated.
Our clinic treatment times range from 15, 30 or 45 minute sessions based on the primary areas needing treatment. Our treatments are not associated with any pain or discomfort and the individual being treated sits or lies down comfortably while the laser energy is applied on the area.
Number of Treatments
The number of treatments necessary to achieve a satisfactory response are based on whether the injury or condition is chronic or acute. Acute conditions usually respond between 2-6 treatment sessions while chronic conditions could require 6-10 treatment sessions.

"After having multiple shoulder injuries and dreading a surgical solution, I was introduced to Hector and laser therapy. Relief was noticed after the first treatment and has continued to improve with subsequent treatments. Hector's knowledge and expertise is very impressive. He now treats our entire staff as needed."
